Phone Policy
General Rules
-
Off & Away: Devices must be turned OFF upon entering campus and remain off until pickup.
-
Storage: Teachers will collect and store devices during class. Students may only power them on if explicitly instructed by a teacher.
-
Confiscation Trigger: If a device is visible, rings, vibrates, or is used without permission, it will be confiscated immediately.
-
Bullying & Privacy: Families must approve student phone number exchanges. Cyberbullying incidents will result in immediate family contact.
Consequences
-
1st Offense: The device is held in the classroom. The student may pick it up at the end of the school day.
-
2nd Offense: The device is held in the main office. An administrator will assign a consequence and contact the family. The phone may ONLY be picked up by a family member.
-
3rd Offense: The device is held in the main office and may ONLY be picked up by a family member. The student will lose phone privileges at school permanently.
-
Refusal to Comply: If a student refuses to surrender a device, a parent/guardian will be called to pick up the device, the student, or both.
To help us maintain a safe, positive community both on and off campus, we encourage families to stay involved and monitor their student's phone/device use outside of school hours.
